Canadiens sign forward Hayden Verbeek to entry-level contract

The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Hayden Verkeek to a three-year, entry-level contract that will kick in next season.

Verbeek, 20, was an undrafted free agent who is currently competing in the OHL playoffs with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. He is the nephew of former NHLer Pat Verbeek.

In 67 games with the Greyhounds this season, Verbeek had 30 goals and 31 points.
