Canucks’ Brandon Sutter ‘out weeks’ with upper-body injury

Watch as Brandon Sutter crashes awkwardly into the boards trying to clear the puck and leaves the game with what appears to be a shoulder injury.

Vancouver Canucks forward Brandon Sutter left Monday’s game against the Minnesota Wild with an upper-body injury and did not return.

The injury occurred early in the second period, when Sutter went hard into the boards on the forecheck while killing a penalty. He was slow to his feet but skated off the ice on his own power and didn’t return to the ice.

After the game, head coach Travis Green said Sutter will be out for weeks with his injury.

Sutter, 29, has three goals and four points in 12 games this season.
