Sam Gagner is headed back to the Toronto Marlies.
The Vancouver Canucks loaned the forward to the AHL club for the second time this season on Tuesday.
The move comes with the addition of Josh Leivo, and the return of Jay Beagle from injury.
The loan allows Gagner to be closer to his family while playing in the AHL.
He started the season with the Marlies, scoring seven goals and 15 points in 15 games before being recalled to Vancouver.
The 29-year-old had one goal and two assists in seven games with the Canucks before Tuesday’s roster move.
The Canucks still retain his rights, and are on the hook for the remainder of his contract, which pays him $3.15 million this season and next.
