The Vancouver Canucks have reassigned forward Adam Gaudette to the Utica Comets of the AHL, the team announced Sunday.
Gaudette, 22, has split his time between the Comets and Canucks this season. In 32 NHL games, the Braintree, Mass., native has three goals, four assists and seven points. The Canucks’ fifth-round pick (149th overall) from the 2015 draft scored in the team’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Arizona Coyotes Thursday.
In seven games in the AHL with the Comets, Gaudette has four goals, three assists and seven points.
Josh Leivo will be a game-time decision for the Canucks Sunday as he’s missed the past three games with back spasms. Thatcher Demko could also make his season debut for Vancouver after being called up from the AHL.
