Canucks sign Otters forward Fox

VANCOUVER — Centre Dane Fox was signed to a professional contract by the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.

The 20-year-old overager has appeared in 35 games for the Ontario Hockey League’s Erie Otters this season, scoring 41 goals and adding 27 assists with a plus-28 rating.

Fox, from Chatham, Ont., currently ranks second in the OHL in scoring.

He has 95 goals and 92 assists over six seasons in major junior.

Fox has been assigned to the Erie Otters by the Canucks.
