If Brock Boeser’s performance in Da Beauty League is any indication to how he’s going to perform in 2018-19 then Vancouver Canucks fans are going to have a lot to smile about.

Boeser was named MVP of the popular Minnesota-based summer league that was chock full of NHL players, as his team was crowned champs Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old had racked up 15 goals and 33 points through eight games and added another goal and assist in the final, so it was no surprise he was named the league’s top performer.

Da Beauty League was founded in 2015 “by local business people in an effort to bring professional hockey to Minnesota on a year round basis,” according to a statement on its website.

The league’s logo features a silhouette of former NHL enforcer and 2016 all-star luminary John Scott. The league’s championship trophy is a beer keg called the John Scott Cup.

Boeser’s father, Duke Boeser, served as coach for his son’s team, which also featured NHLers Brock Nelson, Derek Stepan, Nate Schmidt and goalie Alex Stalock. Boeser’s squad beat a team in the final that featured the likes of Erik Haula, Jake Gardiner, Justin Braun and Alex Goligoski.
