The Washington Capitals have re-signed defenceman Aaron Ness to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Wednesday. The deal is worth $650,000 at the NHL level.

Ness recorded an assist in eight games with Washington in 2017-18. He earned 29 points in 62 games with the AHL’s Hershey Bears this season.

The 27-year-old has been part of the Capitals organization for three years, signing with the club as a free agent in 2015.
