Phil Housley’s stellar career flew under the radar when compared to the likes of Ray Bourque, Chris Chelios, Scott Stevens and some of the other defenders from his era, but a closer look at some of the numbers he put up and it’s no surprise he’s being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

85 – The number of playoff games he played. Despite his lengthy career, Housley only made it beyond the first round twice in 13 post-season appearances

10 – The number of years he was eligible before finally being voted into the HOF
