Cherry moves Josh Donaldson campaign to Twitter

Don Cherry has taken his campaign to have Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson voted as a starter on the American League all-star game to social media.

During Saturday night’s Coach’s Corner, Grapes expressed his displeasure that Donaldson was trailing Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas by roughly 1.7 million votes.

“We have an injustice being done in baseball,” Cherry said.

Donaldson later told Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi he’s grateful for Cherry’s support.

On Monday morning, Cherry used his Twitter account to again urge Canadians to vote for the 29-year-old slugger.
