Condon pays tribute to Bill Belichick with Winter Classic mask

Montreal and Boston have been a part of some epic games in the playoffs and regular season during their more than 900 meetings and the 80s were no different.

Montreal Canadiens goalie Mike Condon grew up in Massachusetts, so he still can’t help but support the NFL’s New England Patriots.

With his team set to take part at the 2016 Bridgestone Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium on Friday, Condon plans to rock a customized mask, paying tribute to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady.

“I grew up 30 minutes from the stadium, so we were a huge Patriots family and my dad used to work security details for the Pats, so I spent a lot of time at Gillette Stadium,” Condon told NHL.com.

Dave Gunnarsson, of DaveArt Studios, painted the mask for Condon that features drawing of the two central figures of the Patriots’ organization as well as Belichick’s famous “Do Your Job” motto.
