It’s not as if Jeff Carter would be surprised by Corey Perry’s actions in their rival teams’ second-round series.
“Corey Perry’s a little rat,” Carter told Mayor’s Manor on Feb. 2. Presumably with a smile and a head shake. “I know him really well, but he’s a rat on the ice.”
The two pure goal scorers were teammates on the gold-medal-winning Team Canada in February and are buddies off the ice.
“But on the ice, he’s a weasel, man,” a prescient Carter said. “He’s dirty. He’s one hell of a player, though.”
And one hell of a pest.
Watch as the Anaheim Ducks forward squirts water into the vacant glove of his L.A. Kings counterpart when Carter’s not looking during a break in play.
Where’s David Clarkson when you need him?
Carter, however, got the last laugh as his Kings stole both games at Honda Center. L.A. leads the freeway series 2-0. Although neither Perry or Carter have yet to register a point in the tilt.
