Arizona Coyotes goaltender Antti Raanta was involved in a minor car accident prior to Thursday’s game against the Dallas Stars but was not injured, according to the team.

Raanta was slated to get the start against the Stars but was moved to backup, with many left to speculate why he wasn’t on the bench. The team stated the move was made for “precautionary reasons.” Scott Wedgewood suited up in his place, making 21 saves in the 4-1 loss.
