Team Canada captain Barrett Hayton is listed as week-to-week with a Grade 1 AC shoulder injury, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Freidman.

Hayton was recalled by the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday after winning gold at the World Junior Championship last weekend.

He finished second in tournament scoring with six goals and 12 points in seven games. The 19-year-old took a hard fall into the boards during the third period of Canada’s semifinal game against Finland.

Though previously listed as questionable for the gold medal game, Hayton was in the lineup and scored the tying goal in the third period against Russia. Canada went on to win the title contest 4-3.

The Peterborough, Ont. native was selected fifth overall by the Coyotes in the 2018 NHL Draft.

This season, Hayton has one goal and four points in 14 games with Arizona.
