The New Jersey Devils have agreed to a multi-year contract extension with general manager Ray Shero.
Further details on the contract were not immediately available.
Shero joined the Devils in May of 2015. His most significant transaction has been negotiating the Taylor Hall trade with the Edmonton Oilers, but the club has only made the playoffs once in his four seasons in charge.
This season, the Devils finished last in the Metropolitan Division with a 31-41-10 record. The team signed head coach John Hynes to a multi-year extension in January.
