The New Jersey Devils have placed forward Taylor Hall on injured reserve with a lower-body injury, the team announced Tuesday.

The move is retroactive to Dec. 23, and the team noted that Hall will be eligible to return at any time. He was previously listed as day-to-day.

The reigning Hart Trophy winner has missed five games this season, including the Devils’ most recent three games since returning from the NHL’s Christmas break. The 27-year-old has scored 11 goals and tallied 26 assists for 37 points through 33 games so far this season.
