ANAHEIM, Calif. — Forward Dany Heatley has been placed on injured reserve by the Anaheim Ducks.

The Ducks didn’t specify Heatley’s injury when they made the move Friday. But the veteran forward has said he is struggling with a groin injury. He missed the start of the regular season and has played just four scoreless games with the Ducks, who signed him as a free agent in the summer.

The 33-year-old forward has 372 goals and 419 assists in his 13-season NHL career. The Ducks are Heatley’s fifth team.

Corey Perry rejoined the Ducks on Friday, watching practice after missing the past four games with mumps.

Perry doesn’t know when he’ll return to the lineup. He skated on his own after practice Friday.

The Pacific Division-leading Ducks play at Los Angeles on Saturday.
