Ducks recall Michael Sgarbossa three days after sending him to the AHL

Ryan Kesler scored two power play goals and the Anaheim Ducks defeated the Calgary Flames.

The Anaheim Ducks recalled forward Michael Sgarbossa from the San Diego Gulls on Wednesday.

Sgarbossa has played six games with the Ducks this season while recording two assists. He was sent down to the Gulls on Sunday.

The 24-year-old has played two games in the AHL this season, scoring once.

Sgarbossa has three assists in 16 NHL games split between Anaheim and the Colorado Avalanche.

The move comes just hours before the Ducks play in Columbus against the Blue Jackets.
