Ducks sign centre Sam Carrick to one-year extension

The Anaheim Ducks have signed centre Sam Carrick to a one-year contract extension, the team announced on Saturday.

Carrick, 27, played in six games for the Ducks last season, recording one assist and two penalty minutes.

The Markham, Ont., has spent the majority of his pro hockey career in the American Hockey League with the San Diego Gulls, Rockford IceHogs and Toronto Marlies, racking up 100 goals and 241 point in 392 career AHL contests.

Carrick led the Gulls – Anaheim’s AHL affiliate – in points (61), goals 32, power-play goals (11) and shorthanded goals (3) during the 2018-19 season.
