Ducks sign defenceman Hunter Drew to three-year, entry-level contract

The Anaheim Ducks have signed defenceman Hunter Drew to a three-year entry-level contract, the team announced Monday.

Drew was selected in the sixth round of the 2018 NHL Draft and made his professional debut last season, splitting time with the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League and Tulsa Oilers of the ECHL.

In 34 games in the AHL and ECHL, the 21-year-old had two goals and 11 points. The Kingston, Ont., native previously played three seasons in the QMJHL with the Charlottetown Islanders where he had 92 points in 167 career games.
