EA Sports teamed up with Adidas to release special edition sweaters for the Original Six hockey clubs on Monday.
The “Digital 6” jerseys will be available exclusively in-game in NHL 19 for the Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadians, New York Rangers and Toronto Maple Leafs.
“These original six teams have always been recognizable by their timeless threads, connecting the past to the present with simple, yet iconic uniforms,” read the press release. “However, in a generation of third jerseys and a youthful fashion infusion, adidas and EA SPORTS put their creative minds together to create a fresh take on some of the game’s most notable uniforms.”
The throwback threads can be accessed in Hockey Ultimate Team™ (HUT) on Monday, and will hit additional modes on Nov. 19. There will also be other articles of clothing added to the game in the World of CHEL game mode.
