The ECHL’s Bakersfield Condors, an affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, had one heck of a fun night on Saturday. The team hosted a Seinfeld-inspired “Puffy Shirt” night, in honour of the 25th anniversary of the beginning of the sitcom. Team members wore jerseys reminiscent of the pirate ensemble Jerry was once tricked into wearing on live TV by the low-talker.
Making the night all the more interesting were the ads and names on the jerseys. Fake Seinfeld companies such as Vandelay Industries and Kramerica appeared as “sponsors” while each individual player took the name of a character from the show on the back of his jersey.

And what we were left with was some tremendous entertainment on social media, as the team live-tweeted the game on its account.

Unfortunately, the visiting Idaho Steelheads must be rabid anti-dentites, as they won the game 2-1 in overtime. The good news, though, is that game-worn puffy shirt jerseys will become available on ebay sometime this week, so keep a look out.
Here are some video highlights of the game, including an appearance by the aforementioned low-talker and some amazing play-by-play.
