It was a rough night for Matthew Tkachuk.
The Calgary Flames winger was unable to finish Game 2 against the Dallas Stars after he was hit by both Jamie Benn and Jamie Oleksiak mid-way through the third period.
Tkachuk was wobbly on his skates after the hit, immediately went to the Flames locker room and didn’t return.
Head coach Geoff Ward didn’t have an update on Tkachuk’s condition in his post-game press conference.
“I’ll get more information when I get back to the hotel,” Ward said. “I haven’t been updated yet.”
In addition to the play in the third period, Tkachuk also briefly left the game in the first period after he was speared in the mid-section by Benn while the two battled off a face off. Tkachuk briefly left the game in visible discomfort but returned shortly after.

The Stars won the game 5-4 to tie the series at one game apiece. Game 3 of the series is Friday and if Tkachuk is unavailable, it will be a big loss for the Flames as the 22-year-old led the team in scoring with 61 points this season.
