Flames’ Matthew Tkachuk out vs. Coyotes with upper-body injury

Calgary Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk won’t play on Tuesday night against the Arizona Coyotes with an upper-body injury, the team announced before the game.

Tkachuk is listed as day-to-day.

The 22-year-old played 18:02 minutes Monday against the Colorado Avalanche, posting one goal and one assist.

Tkachuk has 12 goals and 27 points in 32 games played this season.

Former Coyotes centre Zac Rinaldo is set to take Tkachuk’s place in the lineup.
