Flames sign defenceman Connor Mackey to one-year, entry-level deal

The Calgary Flames have signed Minnesota State defenceman Connor Mackey to a one-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Friday.

The deal is for the 2020-21 season.

Mackey, 23, had 24 points in 36 games this season, and has collected 61 points across 118 games during his three campaigns at Minnesota State University.

The six-foot-two, 205-pound blueliner from Barrington, Ill., was also named to the WCHA first All-Star team this season.
