Flames sign Derek Ryan to three-year deal

The Calgary Flames have signed forward Derek Ryan to a three-year contract worth $9.375 million.

The 31-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes, playing 153 games, scoring 28 goals and registering 41 assists.

His three years with the Hurricanes were his only in the NHL.
