Flames sign forward Austin Czarnik to two-year deal

The Calgary Flames have brought in forward Austin Czarnik on a two-year contract, the team announced Sunday.

Czarnik adds depth to the Flames’ bottom-six group of forwards at an affordable $1.25-million cap hit.

The 25-year-old spent the majority of the 2017-18 campaign with the AHL’s Providence Bruins, registering 25 goals and 44 assists in 64 games. He also had four assists in 10 games at the NHL level this past season after collecting five goals and 13 points in 49 NHL games as a rookie in 2016-17.
