It was mascot night at the Rutgers vs. Michigan State basketball game on Friday and fittingly there was a special guest appearance by the new king of the sports mascots, the one and only Gritty.

The Philadelphia Flyers furry friend predictably stole the show in spectacular fashion.

With the horns section blaring in the background at Rutgers Athletic Center, Gritty stepped up to the half-court line and drained the trey.

Gritty, who followed up the shot by doing the splits, posted the clip to his Twitter account by quoting Dave Chappelle’s interpretation of Prince.

Beautiful stuff.

What can’t Gritty do?
