Alternate uniforms are going to be all the rage in the NHL in 2018-19 and the Philadelphia Flyers are the latest team to introduce theirs.
The team and adidas Hockey unveiled the new uniforms on social media Thursday evening.
The team hasn’t had a regularly used all-black jersey in their rotation since 2010, but they have been popular throughout the franchise’s history.
The new threads are either identical, or heavily similar to the ones used in the 2017 Stadium Series showdown with Pittsburgh.
Black Flyers jerseys were first introduced by the team in 1997 back when Eric Lindros and John LeClair were the stars of the team.
The new jerseys will be worn during select games at Wells Fargo Center.
