Flyers sign goalie Brian Elliott to one-year extension

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed goaltender Brian Elliott to a one-year extension worth $2 million.

Elliott, 34, has played the last two seasons with the Flyers, posting a record of 34-22-8 in 69 appearances with a .908 save percentage and a 2.77 goals-against average.

A veteran of 12 NHL seasons, Elliott has spent time with five different teams over that span and appearing in 441 regular-season contests.

In 43 post-season starts – 31 of those with the St. Louis Blues – the Newmarket, Ont., native is 16-25-0 with a .903 save percentage and a 2.76 goals-against.
