Forward Michael Pezzetta signs entry-level deal with Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Michael Pezzetta to an entry-level contract, the club announced on Wednesday.

Pezzetta, 19, he was a sixth-round pick (160th overall) at the 2016 NHL Draft. The Toronto native was named captain of the OHL’s Sudbury Wolves at the start of this season, but was dealt to the Sarnia Sting in January.

The six-foot-one, 212-pound centre has 50 points in 58 OHL games this season.
