LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Kings have activated forward Colin Fraser from their non-roster list.
Fraser is expected to debut with the Kings on Thursday night against the Vancouver Canucks.
Los Angeles acquired Fraser from the Edmonton Oilers in late June when veteran Ryan Smyth demanded a trade back to Alberta.
The Kings then accused the Oilers of trading an injured player when they determined Fraser still hadn’t fully recovered from a broken foot, which ended his final season in Edmonton last March. Fraser missed the first 15 games of this season while recovering from surgery.
Fraser is likely to replace Scott Parse, who went on injured reserve Wednesday with a lower-body injury.
Veteran forward Trent Hunter also is expected to return after a five-game injury absence.
