Gaborik’s girlfriend hit in the face with a puck at Kings game

Kings forward Jeff carter had two goals, while their goal Peter Budaj was perfect for the shutout in a 5-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche.

Los Angeles Kings forward Marian Gaborik and his girlfriend Ivana Surovcova managed to turn a freak accident into a cute moment on Wednesday night.

Surovcova was hit in the face with a puck after it was deflected into the stands during the Kings’ game against the Colorado Avalanche.

The result? 10 stitches.

Gaborik tweeted a photo of Surovcova late Wednesday night, calling her a “tough lil warrior.”

The model and business owner appears to be in good spirits about the whole thing, as she posted a photo to Instagram saying she’s a “real hockey girlfriend now.”

Gaborik missed the first 21 games of the season with a lower-body injury that he sustained during the World Cup of Hockey.

(We’re hoping Surovcova’s recovery time is much quicker.)
