Gary Bettman to make major sports betting announcement Monday

Commissioner Gary Bettman will hold a press conference on Monday regarding the NHL’s position and involvement with regards to sports gambling.

Sources tell Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston, that the NHL is “going all in” with regards to the lucrative industry.

The United States Supreme Court struck down a federal law that barred betting sports in most states this past May.

The NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB had released a joint statement in April signalling their intent to get involved should sports gambling become legal.
