The Vegas Golden Knights have acquired forward Tomas Tatar from the Detroit Red Wings.

Detroit receives three draft picks in return: a first-round pick (2018), a second-round pick (2019) and a third-rounder (2021).

Tatar has 16 goals and 28 points in 62 games this season.

Unlike a number of players being dealt at the deadline, Tatar is not a rental. The 27-year-old is under contract through the 2020 season, carrying a $5.3-million cap hit as well as a no-trade clause that kicks in for 2018-19.
