Gotta Hear It: Mika Zibanejad’s first single, Forever

Oh, Mika Zibanejad, is there anything you can’t do?

The New York Rangers centre blessed us all with his first single on Friday, titled: Forever.

The song, featuring vocals by Sara Milligan, is about “the ups and downs of a relationship. You want distance, but you can’t stand being away from the other person. There are always things you like and don’t like, but in the end your feelings always make you want to stay.”

Indeed.

Zibanejad, who had 37 points in 56 games in his first season with the Rangers, appears to have been given his big “break” by the Ottawa-based Elijah Woods Music, whose Soundcloud page wasn’t working as of Friday night.

The 24-year-old Zibanejad spent the first five years of his NHL career with the Ottawa Senators before being traded to New York on July 18, 2016.
