So… you like saves?
Well, you, my friend, have come to the right place.
Place a hand under your jaw and get ready to catch as you watch (above) the best-looking glove save you’ll see all year.
Nashville Predators goaltender Carter Hutton skates behind his net to play a Philadelphia Flyers’ dump-in Thursday night, but the puck scoots off his stick and into the slot.
As Philly forward Michael Raffl charges for the loose puck, he licks his chops. In front of him? Nothing but net.
But like a shortstop gobbling up a sure line-drive single, Hutton scrambles, dives from behind the net and gloves Raffl’s glory. The despondent Flyer was left to shake his head in disbelief as Hutton held the Preds’ 2-1 lead.
“That was sick,” said Nashville’s Roman Josi, who scored the shootout winner and reward his goalie’s efforts with a 4-3 win. “That’s going to be on the highlight reel for a long time. He was more like a soccer goalie on that save.”
Your move, Mr. Dubnyk.
Holy Hutton! What a save! #NSHvsPHI
