Amidst the blowouts and rapidly piling losses, there is a gleaming bright spot.
But, shoot, Taylor Hall — a minus-1 on a winless minus-12 team — must be getting tired of being a silver lining on this cloud.
Let’s take a respite from cracking on the Edmonton Oilers and savour the good.
Hall, a point-per-game player three years running, scored a pair of goals Wednesday in Edmonton’s 7-4 road loss to the Arizona Coyotes.
But it was a Hall pass (heeey-oh!) that must be seen and re-seen over and over again.
The sauciest of saucers:
Centre Mark Arcobello was the the beneficiary of Hall’s setup, finishing the one-timer to make it a one-goal game at that point.
“It’s tough to swallow,” Hall told reporters after the loss. “We’d love to give up less goals and score more, but it’s just not happening right now.”
