Henrik Lundqvist’s new pads might be the coolest of all time

New York Rangers' Henrik Lundqvist eyes the puck coming at him during the second period of an NHL hockey game against the Philadelphia Flyers, Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017.

Henrik Lundqvist is taking his world-renowned sense of fashion to the ice next season.

The Swedish netminder posted a picture of the pads he’ll, be wearing in 2017-18 to Instagram, and they’re pretty terrific.

With Lady Liberty leading the way, Lundqvist’s new leg pillows feature the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and One World Trade Center on what will likely be the best pair of puck-kickers the NHL will see for quite some time.

The New York Rangers featured the Statue of Liberty on their sweaters in the late ’90s and early-to-mid aughts in what was one of the league’s best-looking alternate jerseys, which were retired in 2007.

Hopefully Lundqvist’s new pads can help get her back on uniforms in some capacity.
