At the outset of Thursday night, the question was whether the Vancouver Canucks could score at all.
After Bo Horvat scored his team’s first goal, captain Henrik Sedin assisted on his brother’s marker, lifting the captain past Maurice Richard on the all-time points list and into sole possession of 88th.
Henrik recorded his 744th assist and 966th point passing the peerless Richard who intimidated his opponents with his fiery eyes. While the two would never be mistaken for one another, it’s quite an accomplishment for No. 33.
Brother Daniel is 26 points behind at 940 for his career.
Henrik’s best season came in 2009-10 when he put up 112 points in 82 games and won the Hart Trophy.
