When the Detroit Red Wings take to the ice Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins, goaltender Jimmy Howard will be sporting a different look.
Rather than using his regular helmet design, Howard will be wearing this all-pink look during Detroit’s own Hockey Fights Cancer Night. This helmet has similar art to what Howard usually wears, only this is covered in pink, with the words “Hockey Fights Cancer” near the cage, and silhouetted pink ribbons dotting the design.
What do you think of Howard’s pink look?
Howard’s mask was painted by Bishop Designs, who he regularly employs to paint his lids. This one is another good-looking, eye-catching design for Thursday’s awareness night. Just like last year’s, it’s expected this helmet will be auctioned some time after the game to raise money for cancer research.
