New York Islanders forward Anders Lee will be out indefinitely with a fractured leg according to Arthur Staple of Newsday.

Lee blocked a shot from teammate Johnny Boychuk in the first period of Thursday’s 4-1 win over the New York Rangers, playing one more shift before leaving the game for good.

He currently sits third on the team in hits (164) and shots on goal (183), while having played throughout the Islanders’ lineup this year.

The American has 15 goals and 36 points in 80 games this season.
