Islanders place Boychuk on IR, recall Aho from Bridgeport

New York Islanders defenceman Johnny Boychuk is out week-to-week with a lower-body injury, the team announced Thursday.

In 34 games this season, the 33-year old has three goals and six assists for nine points.

The team also announced that it has recalled Sebastian Aho from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

In 29 games with Bridgeport, Aho has nine goals and 11 assists for 20 points. He was drafted by the Islanders in the fifth round (139th overall) of the 2017 draft .
