Islanders re-sign forward Josh Ho-Sang to one-year contract

The New York Islanders have re-signed forward Joshua Ho-Sang to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ho-Sang spent most of the season with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL, tallying eight goals and 43 points in 56 games. The 23-year-old also played in 10 NHL games last season with the Islanders, scoring a goal and adding an assist.

In 53 career NHL games, Ho-Sang has seven goals and 24 points. The Islanders selected the Toronto native in the first round (28th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
