Jets acquire defenceman Jimmy Oligny from Golden Knights

The Winnipeg Jets have acquired defenceman Jimmy Oligny from the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for future considerations, the team announced Thursday.

Oligny, 25, will report to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. In 16 games with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL, the Saint-Michel Que., native has an assist. The undrafted free agent has yet to play in an NHL game.

In 275 career AHL games between the Milwaukee Admirals and Wolves, Oligny has seven goals, 37 assists and 44 points.
