Jets activate Nathan Beaulieu, move Mathieu Perreault to injured reserve

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman joined Evanka Osmak to discuss the latest involving the Winnipeg Jets and Dustin Byfuglien.

The Winnipeg Jets have activated defenceman Nathan Beaulieu from injured reserve and moved forward Mathieu Perreault on to IR.

Beaulieu has been out of the lineup since Dec. 31 with a lower-body injury and he also missed time earlier this season with a hand injury. The 27-year-old has four assists in 21 games this season, and is averaging just under 16 minutes of ice time.

Perreault was injured in Friday’s game against the Boston Bruins after a hit from Karson Kuhlman. He missed Saturday’s game against the St. Louis Blues and head coach Paul Maurice said the 32-year-old could be out for at least two weeks with an upper-body injury.

Perreault has 14 points in 46 games this season.
