Jets’ Andrew Copp suffers upper-body injury vs. Hurricanes

Andrew Copp would be in pain on the bench after this collision with Jordan Staal.

Winnipeg Jets forward Andrew Copp suffered an upper-body injury during the second period of the team’s game vs. the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday and will not return, the team announced.

Copp appeared to be shaken up after attempting to throw a hit.

The 25-year-old has 14 points in 33 games with the Jets this season.

Over the course of his six years in the NHL, all with Winnipeg, the native of Ann Arbor, Mich., has collected 98 points across 326 games.
