Jets’ Bryan Little leaves game with lower-body injury

Bryan Little left the game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday following an accidentally knee-on-knee collision with Bryan Bickell.

Winnipeg Jets centre Bryan Little left Thursday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes and will not return after suffering a lower-body injury.

Little collided with Hurricanes forward Bryan Bickell in the Winnipeg zone with 9:17 left in the first period.

Play had to be stopped as Little attempted to skate off the ice.

The 28-year-old appeared in just 57 games last season after suffering a fractured vertebrae.

He’s been one of Winnipeg’s more productive players the last few seasons, having scored 42 points (17 goals, 25 assists) in 2015-16, while forming a 1-2 punch up the middle with Mark Scheifele.
