WINNIPEG — Another shipment of bogus NHL Winnipeg Jets jerseys has crashed and burned.
RCMP and Canadian Border Services Agency officials seized 190 counterfeit jerseys destined for locations in Winnipeg on Sept. 29.
Police say the fake jerseys were manufactured in China and shipped to Winnipeg where the shipment was seized.
The retail value is estimated to be more than $76,000.
Police say the copies of the official Jets jerseys include the names of players in both home and away colours, although the colours are incorrect and the quality is poor.
In late August, border and RCMP officials seized a shipment of fake jerseys without players names or numbers on them.
