The Winnipeg Jets have recalled right-wingers Joel Armia and Matt Halischuk from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.
Armia was acquired in last year’s blockbuster trade with the Buffalo Sabres as part of the package that sent Evander Kane to Buffalo.
The 22-year-old was called up to the Jets in November but never dressed for a game. He has yet to play for the Jets and has just one career NHL game under his belt since being drafted 16th overall in 2011.
The Pori, Finland native has eight points in 18 games with the Moose this season.
Halischuk has played in 24 games with the Moose, with three goals and three assists so far.
The 27-year-old has played in 250 NHL games in his career, scoring 72 points (33G, 39A).
He was claimed off of waivers by the Jets ahead of the 2013-14 season and has played in 93 games with Winnipeg spread out over two seasons.
Both Armia and Halischuk were practicing on the Jets’ fourth line. Winnipeg’s next game is Friday night against the New York Rangers.
