Jets sign forward Nic Petan to two-way, one-year contract

WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Nic Petan on a one-year, two-way contract worth US$874,125 in the NHL.

The 23-year-old from Delta, B.C., had two goals in 15 games for the Jets last year.

He played 52 games for the American Hockey League’s Manitoba Moose in 2017-18, recording 52 points (15 goals, 37 assists) and 24 penalty minutes in the regular season. He added a goal and three assists in nine playoff games.

Petan was drafted by Winnipeg in the second round (43rd overall) in the 2013 NHL draft. He has five goals and 16 assists over 95 career games with the Jets.
